Alex is an archaeologist and safari guide with a deep-rooted passion for understanding what makes us human. Raised in California by two teachers, he got his start guiding in rugged state parks before answering a lifelong call to Africa.

His love for the continent began in childhood, sparked by stories filled with wild places and ancient mysteries. Today, he brings that same sense of wonder to his work in the African bush, blending science, storytelling, and adventure.

Alex leads safaris that dig deeper than sightings, helping guests reconnect with the land and explore their place within it. He believes the best questions are the ones you live out, not just ask. And if elephants are involved, even better.

Now, he’s got this ever-growing obsession with all things Africa. And Jeff? He’s chomping at the bit to show you what this extraordinary place is all about, to help you see the world in all its raw, untamed glory.
